The mandate is given to Colonel Marcellin L. Lahaie to create the Royal Military College of Saint-Jean. From June to September 1952, he undertook several actions, including the taking possession and development of the premises, the creation of the school curriculum, the recruitment of faculty, staff and cadets. The official opening therefore took place on September 15, 1952, two months in advance. 125 officer cadets then took first-year courses at the Royal Military College Saint-Jean.
